In Loving Memory of Angeliki Pappas

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Angeliki Pappas, who peacefully left us on July 7th, 2024. Angeliki was born on December 13th, 1937, in Athens, Greece, to Michael and Panayiota Bouboutsaris, along with her younger siblings Dimitri (Mimi) and Maria.

Angeliki (affectionately known as Kiki) was a devoted wife to her husband, Gus, for 53 years and a loving mother to her three children, Anmarie, Danae, and Marcus. She nurtured them with unconditional love and unwavering support, guiding them through life's challenges with wisdom and grace. Along with her children, Kiki’s greatest joy came from her role as a grandmother. She adored her seven grandchildren who brought immense happiness to her throughout her life. She cherished every moment spent with them, showing wisdom with love and tenderness. Kiki’s dedication to family was a cornerstone of her life, and she took immense pride in their accomplishments and cherished every moment spent together. Throughout her time on this earth, Kiki was not only a talented Greek cook but also a dedicated volunteer in her community. For over five decades, she tirelessly supported the St. Sophia Philoptochos Society, embodying the spirit of philanthropy and compassion. Her selflessness and warmth touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on those she helped. She will be remembered for her generosity, her unwavering Greek Orthodox faith, and her deep love for her family and community. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. Kiki is survived by her sister Maria; daughter Anmarie Booras and her family, Greg, Andrew, and Athena; daughter Danae Webster and her family, Greg, Ethan, and Connor; and son Marcus Pappas and his family, Cheri, Aiden, Stella, and Rocco. She is also survived by extended family Bouboutsaris, Mastor, Nastos and Schrader.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 24th, 2024 (10:30am), at St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Los Angeles, where family and friends will gather to celebrate her life. In addition, a Trisagion service will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2024 (6pm) at St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church in Redondo Beach. Kiki will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery in Santa Monica.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the St. Sophia Philoptochos Society, a cause that was close to Kiki's heart.

May her soul rest in peace and her memory be eternal.
