Michael Steve Guevara, known lovingly as "Tank," was born on July 21, 1989, in Sylmar, California, and left this world on October 23, 2024, . As we reflect on Michael's life, we are reminded of the warmth and joy he brought to everyone around him. A man of immense character, he wore kindness on his sleeve, reflecting a gentle soul who was always willing to lend a hand.
Michael cherished every moment spent with his family. He created beautiful memories during the holidays, skillfully cooking up storms at barbecues and gatherings that brought his loved ones and friends together. His zest for life was contagious, A smile that would brighten up the room and he was always the life of the party, embracing his friends and family with a great sense of humor that could brighten anyone’s day.
Among his fondest memories were the days he spent with his beloved daughter, Lulu. Michael delighted in taking Lulu to theme parks, enjoying the thrill of rides and laughter alike. Together, they shared adventures that included movie marathons featuring "Trolls, & Bluey " and joyous days at fairs. Their trips to the beach were especially memorable, with Michael affectionately referring to Lourdes as his "princess" as they splashed in the waves.
An exceptional hustler and a respected member of his neighborhood, Michael was known not just for his work ethic but for the compassion he displayed toward others. He was the type of person who made everyone around him feel welcome, embracing strangers as if they were lifelong friends. His legacy will live on in the hearts of many, particularly in the life lessons he imparted on those fortunate enough to know him.
Though he found happiness on the dance floor, listening to music, and sharing moments with a blunt in hand, it was the love for his family that radiated most prominently in his life. Michael’s kindness extended beyond his immediate family as he proudly lent support to friends and family in times of need.
Michael is survived by his loving mother, Mercedes Rojas, Step Father Abel Rodriguez, Sisters Claudia Rojas, and Nathalie Delgado. Brother Jesse Delgado, Daughter Lourdes Gonzalez, Godson Joel Duprez and Life Partner Chloe Gonzalez. He will be deeply missed yet forever remembered by each of them, along with countless friends whose lives he touched with his generous spirit.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Noe Guevara, his grandmother, Maria Guadalupe Rojas, and his grandfather, Angel Rafael Portillo. Their spirits will surely welcome him in the embrace of eternity, as he continues to touch lives from above.
A Celebration of Life in honor of Michael Steve Guevara will take place on November 15, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Ferrara Colonial Mortuary, located at 351 Hewes St, Orange, CA 92869. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of a remarkable man who will forever hold a cherished place in our hearts.
